Frequent changes with the national and foreign policies of the Republic of Moldova have generated a deeper attention with the Moldovan citizens abroad. According to the Constitution of the Republic of Moldova and other national legal provisions, citizens of the Republic of Moldova enjoy the protection of their State both home and abroad – protection granted by the embassies and consulates of Moldova in the foreign countries. Nowadays, it is possible to identify the particularities of diplomatic and consular protection of Moldovan citizens inside the Commonwealth of
Independent States and protection granted to Moldovan migrant workers in Italy, Greece, Spain, Portugal, Russian Federation, Ukraine and Israel. |
