Child trafficking is a crime that goes beyond any limits. The factors that influence the development of this phenomenon are: the development of information technologies, globalization. The Covid-19 pandemic has accelerated some processes that facilitate the continuous development and create favorable conditions for the realization of alternative harmful actions provided by the incrimination norm. Likewise, the pandemic situation has influenced and highlighted some serious problems in society and at the level of public authorities. Prevention, as a goal of criminal law, can be achieved through public information, training with employees who have direct contact with children or parents of children, social guidance, etc. In this sense, there are several directions in which state representatives urgently need to take decisive action. In order to protect children from the risk of trafficking, viable social and economic protection services for families and parents must be created, as well as alternative services for identifying families and children at risk and mechanisms for early and sustainable intervention. |
