Rezumat | ||||||
In the Republic of Moldova, during various periods of historical development, especially of the totalitarian communist occupation regime, citizens were persecuted for political, national, religious or social reasons. State bodies have carried out a series of mass political repressions, deportations of the native population to Siberia and correctional camps, and deprived of their liberty, deportation, expulsion and other coercive measures. Strongly condemning the political repressions committed by administrative, judicial and extrajudicial state bodies during the totalitarian regime and the serious violation of the rule of law and morality, in order to rehabilitate victims of repression, reintegrate them into political, social and civil rights, compensate for material damages, as well as the liquidation of other consequences of the arbitrariness of the totalitarian regime, the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova adopted Law no. 1225-XII of 08.12.1992 on the rehabilitation of victims of political repression. |
