<cfAbstr cfLangCode='EN' cfTrans='o'><p>During the last years, the European integration process of the Republic of Moldova has registered a substantial qualitative evolution. The intensifi cation of political dialogue, the continuation of negotiations on visa liberalization, the dialogue on free and deep trade with the European Union and the intensifi cation of cooperation in sectoral areas have been important successes in the complex process of European integration. Supported by the political will to accelerate the implementation of internal reforms and to extend the area of introduction of European standards, this process meets the basic conditions to be successful. At the same time, the complexity of the European integration process and the need to ensure its coherence requires the extension of cooperation between the Republic of Moldova and the European Union in the fi eld of security. The importance of the security policy approach in the dialogue with the EU intensifi es in direct proportion to the progress in the negotiation process and is determined by the role of security as an indispensable condition for sustainable economic development and the success of the European integration process of the Republic of Moldova.</p></cfAbstr>
