In this article is presented the biographical route that Leon Donici-Dobronravov took. He was a fascinating literary personality that belongs at the same time to Russian culture and Romanian culture. In his short life and activity he stood out both among Russian writers and as a Romanian prosaist and publicist. The author of the article shares the opinion of G.M. Ivanov who knew Leon Donici personally and who stated in an article of his that despite the external signs that recommend him as a Russsian writer, in his conscience L. Donici was a true Romanian and it is by the manifestations of his conscience the writer born in Chișinău and died of phthisis in Paris must be judged.
