The article relates the pedagogical, scientific, managerial activity of the doctor in history, associate professor Nicolae Chicuș. The activity of the teacher and researcher N. Chicuș took place in a period marked by contradictory changes. The first years ̓70-̓80 of the sec. XX, took place within a complicated education and research system, subject to ideology and censorship, and with the beginning of the ̓90s, sec. XX - his activity was marked by processes such as national rebirth, democratization. Exceptional qualities such as perseverance, selflessness, courage and the ability to take on responsibilities helped him to meet the demands of the times. The occupation of teaching and managerial positions has contributed to conceptual changes of the curricula, the promotion of new teaching methods, the adjustment of the pedagogical institution to the reforms undertaken at European level. Through the elaboration of scientific publications, textbooks, gymnasium and high school curriculum, he enrolled in the leading places among teachers, who had a special role in promoting scientific truth, national and universal values in educating the young generation.
