International scientific optical network (ISON) project started in 2004 as open international voluntary project on self-financing basis. Main focus of the ISON development always was on creating telescopes with large field of view (FOV) for a quick survey of the sky and providing data stream on space objects (SO) to maintain the catalogue. It were elaborated 22-cm telescopes with FOV 4x4 degree that could twice cover the entire visible part of the GEO overnight and 19.2 cm telescopes with FOV 7x7 degree for multiple scans of GEO. As part of the joint work with Roscomos, the 19.2-cm tubes were combined in pairs (FOV 9x7 degrees) and fours (FOV 9x14 degrees) systems to detect SO in HEO. Also it were elaborated 50-cm and 65-cm telescopes with FOV 2.5x2.5 and 2.2x2.2 degrees to develop the methodology of local deep GEO surveys for detection of faint debris. Most productivity is demonstrated by quadruple 19.2 cm system from Roscosmos observatories - up to 66 thousand measurements in 7500 tracklets for 1200 different SO per night. First 40-cm telescope of new generation with FOV 5.6x4.2 degree is putting in operation to perform full deep surveys of GEO. Next step is connected with 30-cm class telescopes with FOV 6x6 degrees which combine advantages of 19.2 and 22 cm telescopes and exceed them in sensitivity. ISON project has become an incubator of innovative solutions in the field of near-Earth space (NES) monitoring, which were introduced during the creation of Roscosmos observatories and telescopes of industrial organizations. At the peak of development, interagency cooperation included up to 100 telescopes. ISON network itself is coordinated now by SIE "ISON Ballistics-Service"Ltd. and includes about 50 telescopes (30 own and 20 of partners) at 25 observatories and carries out the scientific and commercial activities. Regularly updated measuring data allows to maintain an orbital database of 7829 SO (2537 GEO, 4753 HEO and 539 MEO), from that 1377 are objects with high are to mass ratio (516 GEO, 770 HEO and 91 MEO), and provide the conjunction assessment analysis.
