The article focuses on the axiological components the Russian family institution development in interwar Bessarabia. Individual manifestations of the specifics of family values, customs, traditions and morality in the cultural field of Bessarabia are considered; family relations in the descriptions of the specifics of ethical values in the informational discourse of Romanian writers are described. As sources for our study, we chose literary material containing the specific ethno-cultural realities of the represented era: essays in ethnographic fiction, moralistic texts of Romanian fiction. Mihail Sadoveanu’s works (the cycle of essays “Bessarabian roads” (“Drumuri Basarabene”, 1924)), Gib Mihăescu’s novel “Rusoaica” (“Rusoaica. Bordeiul pe Nistru al locotenentului Ragaiac”, 1933), Alexandru Kirițescu’s plays “Joys” (“Gaițele”) and Mihail Sebastian’s “The Nameless Star” (“Steaua fără nume”, 1942) are considered in the given context. This kind of research makes it possible, within certain historical frameworks, to reconstruct the national and cultural specifics of Russian family evolution in Bessarabia with family institution in view. |
