The formation of the clergy in the Orthodox parishes of Tomarovsky and Izmailsky tsinuts was carried out both with the use of cadres of clerics serving in Budjak back in the days of the Pro-Ilava diocese, and with the involvement of new personnel from outside the diocese. The latter include the clergy transferred to the Danubian parishes from the Khotinsky and Akkerman tsinuts of the Bessarabian region, the Tiraspol and Ananyevsky districts of the Kherson province, as well as the Podolsk diocese. Priests who arrived from across the Danube were ordained in places within Turkish borders, did not know the Ru ssian language and often realized themselves in Moldovan and Bulgarian villages of other tsinuts. |
