Assertiveness is a relatively young, introduced by experts in behavioral therapy, is taken and then used in relation to employment, commercial techniques in education and pedagogy. Assertiveness is the result of a set of attitudes and behaviors learned that long-term consequences resulted in improved social relationships, developing trust, respect for individual rights, the formation of a healthy lifestyle, improve decision making ability. Assertive behavior demonstrates respect for self and others, promotes self-disclosure, positive appreciation of self and self worth.
Fixing our attention on assertiveness in particular due to the belief that assertive behavior can be considered prosocial behavior, characterized by focusing on social values, where the lead is individual. Specific knowledge and assertiveness phenomenon enables us to say that assertive training skills that make up the area, promote prosocial behavior development. Also do not forget the features once individual, which would show a chance, and self-esteem, open and appropriate expression of thoughts and feelings, and reduce anxiety. |
