115 Years passed since the term ”sports heart” had been oficially introduced by German scientist Henschen (1899). Discussions on ”sports heart” as a pathologic or physiologic condition continue. We suppose that the moderate normobaric and hypobaric hypoxia provokes the formation of Ang1-7, an important component of the renin-angiotensin system, which has a vasodilator effect via MASS receptors, which has been confirmed in experiments on animals. It seems that during adaptation to mountain hypoxia the activation of archetypical local paracrine regulation related to kinin-kallikrein system may beneficially modify the activities of phylogenetically newer systemic neuroendocrine bioregulators of renin-angiotensin system, as a kind of sanogenic conflict between them. Thus humoral adaptation to hypoxia optimizes control of the autonomic nervous system over the circulatory homeostasis in individuals with different patterns of haemodynamics. |
