Rezumat | ||||||
The paper presents the results of comparative assessment of 125 collection tomato mutant genotypes of various genetic and geographical origin and shows a high diversity of types concentrated in the collection of the Laboratory of Plant Genetic Resources. A purposeful study of morphological, biological and economically valuable traits has allowed differentiation and systemization of mutants into corresponding groups according to the degree of their manifestation. We have identified tomato mutant forms with high phenotypical expressiveness of mutant genes that, for the traits studied, possess the most significant, stable indices and therefore, may be employed in breeding programs as genetic resources to improve the existing and to develop new tomato varieties and hybrids with a specified set of traits. |
