Consumer cooperatives has become an important segment of the socio-economic system of the Republic of Moldova, withstanding periods of economic decline. Currently, the country’s consumer cooperatives system faces both external and internal challenges. These can have significant consequences in the following periods of activity if the necessary measures are not taken. Therefore, new paradigms of innovative development must be applied, considering the internal capacities and limited financial resources of the cooperative system, but also the need for sustainable development. Contemporary challenges and environmental opportunities impose the need to rethink the cooperative forms of organization and management, optimize the economic activity, managerial reengineering of the cooperative system, diversify the fields of activity, and develop the human resources engaged in the cooperatives. The implementation of innovative solutions in this context would stimulate the efficient, sustainable development of consumer cooperation in the country. |
