Rezumat | ||||||
Online communication is one of the characteristics of the knowledge society. Among the characteristics of today's society are: increasing personal and social challenges, accelerating the pace of innovation, increasing applied research that uses an interdisciplinary approach, capitalizing on non-formal and informal education and online communication. The knowledge society is a society of consciousness, in which information and communication technology plays an important role. Being a knowledge-based society, the information society is conditioned by the technological society, which creates new settings to meet the needs of lifelong learning. In the present study we aimed to present the specifics of the knowledge society and to identify the essential aspects of online communication between teacher and students. The applied research part is based on the quantification and interpretation of the answers of the second year students, from the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Craiova, regarding the advantages and disadvantages of online communication in formal education. Based on these data, some conclusions can be drawn regarding the way students relate to online communication in their school activities and some proposals can be made to optimize teacher-student communication in the context of current challenges. |
