Introduction: Preeclampsia remains a major problem in obstetrics because it is associated with high rates of maternal and fetal morbidity and mortality worldwide. In some cases, preeclampsia can be complicated by HELLP syndrome or eclampsia, thus endangering the life of the mother and fetus. Aim of the study: Presentation of the literature review on the subject of inducible hypoxia factors (HIF) in preeclampsia, based on recent literary data. Materials and methods: Literary sources were selected from the Google School and PubMed databases. Through the keywords: preeclampsia, biomarkers, HIF, articles published in the last year were selected. Results: HIFs are transcription factors that play a key role in regulating the response to hypoxia, and are associated with the pathogenesis of preeclampsia. For complicated preeclampsia tasks, HIF-1α expression remains abnormally high, so analysis of the literature data shows that HIF is a potential new biomarker, and can provide a theoretical basis for the prevention and treatment of preeclampsia. |
