The present paper wants to draw attention to the misinformation that appeared in the secular press and the harmful consequences arising from the assimilation of all information as true. The paper is structured in three chapters, with suggestive themes. The first chapter is entitled "On the worries of the world and negative thoughts" and has as its main idea the concern for the spiritual and the restructuring of thinking. It often happens that we act in an unpleasant way under the influence of negative thoughts. The second chapter is entitled "Misinformation and False Prophets" and is divi-ded into several subchapters: Theoretical Notions, The Case of the Blind Man on the Brooklyn Bridge, and About False Prophets and Media Education. The first subchapter defines the key terms misinformation and manipulation and analyzes the way in which it influences us. The second subchapter shows how words can sensitize us. In the last subchapter, it is pointed out that journalists who misinform and fabricate false news are like false prophets. The last chapter, entitled "The relationship between the Church and the media" presents the connection between the Romanian secular press and the Church.
