The protection that could be
obtain for such a form of
Intellectual Property as Industrial
Design was the main topic
of the bilateral seminar OSIM -
AGEPI, organized from July 2
to 4, 2002, by the Romanian
State Office on Inventions and
Trademark in Bran-Moeciu, a
picturesque place near Braşov,
Romania. The concept of
industrial design has been
treated together with the
benefits that can be obtained
from its protection. How to
identify the object of protection
of an industrial design and
which is its difference from that
of a patent, utility model or
trademark? What is the procedure
of obtaining and how
better to enforce the rights on
industrial design? These are the
main questions the participants
of the seminar were concerned
about and to which they tried to
find out the most appropriate
answers. |
