A question on which the researchers concentrated their attention is to highlight the relation between perception and representation. If at the beginning the two images were considered similar there were also points of view that stressed that between perception and representation there are also relations of competitivity. Recently, studying these mechanisms in a large context, some opinions appeared in treating the modern theory about information which were focussed on revealing the cognitive and behaviourist effects. It may be stated that the main function of representation is to interpret reality in such a way in order to act efficiently (we mean a clear behaviour and not the intention to perform an action itself).
