This article is dedicated to the analysis of bilingualism in the context of verbal activity theory. Basically positions of this theory which were elaborated by A.A.Leontiev are transferred for forming bilingualism in mixed communicative environments. At the same time we studied the stages of producing language and distinguished the differences in its realization in the second language from native one. In the article are underlined two approaches in language assimilation.
