Background. Dento-maxillary anomalies are relatively widespread among the population, eventually leading to serious psychological and lifestyle deterioration. Early diagnosis provides essential information for choosing the most suitable treatment. Objective of the study. Early diagnosis of dento-maxillary anomalies and recovery planning based on the available methods of examination. Material and Methods. Case presentation. A 32-year-old female came to “OmniDent” clinic with aesthetic and functional complains. She had been diagnosed with Angle Class III malocclusion. Medical investigations: OPG, CBCT, TRG, digital scanning, dental photography and working models, digital programs for diagnosis establishment. Results. The treatment plan and making of surgical guidelines were accomplished due to thorough examinations and open-source programs. There has been performed a bimaxillary orthognathic surgery, segmental le Fort I osteotomy and maxillary advancement combined with BSSO bilateral sagittal split osteotomy and lower jaw distalization, genioplasty. Intermaxillary immobilization in a preoperatively determined position using surgical splints for 21 days. The recovery period went according to the operational trauma, without any complications. Conclusion. diagnosis and detailed planning by using modern methods of examination may ensure an efficient rehabilitation of patients suffering from dento-maxillary anomalies. |
