Background. In addition to the thorough study of the local picture, the study of the general condition and concomitant diseases of the patient presents an equally important link in the rehabilitation of edentulous patients with severe atrophies of the jaws Objective of the study. The analysis of the general condition and concomitant pathologies of the patients who require bone reconstruction of the alveolar ridge Material and Methods. The descriptive study was conducted during 2016-2020. Was included 173 patients aged 18 to 69 years, with a mean of 46.7 ± 0.3 years, 84 men and 89 women. Patients were evaluated according to a questionnaire that was developed to determine the patient's general condition. The data obtained were statistically analyzed using IBM SPSS Statistics 22 Results. Out of a total of 173 patients, 72 (41.6%) had no concomitant pathologies, 8 patients (4.6%) had concomitant pathologies that did not interfere with operation, 40 (23.1%) had pathologies that may affect the result of alveolar ridge reconstruction, but were admitted for intervention, and 53 patients (30.6%) had pathologies that may affect the result of reconstruction and were not admitted to the bone augmentation intervention. The presence of complications was studied in patients who underwent bone reconstruction of the alveolar ridge Conclusion. As a result of evaluating patients in the preparation and planning of preimplantation bone reconstruction we can identify concomitant pathologies, which may remain non-elucidated, which may influence the outcome of surgical treatment, with the need to reoperate the patient |
