Background. Adherent (mixed) intestinal occlusion presents one of the most common postoperative abdominal diseases. The incidence of the pathology, reported in various studies, is 90-95% after laparotomies. Objective of the study. Presentation of a clinical situation-adherent intestinal occlusion, appreciating the role of clinical examination, imaging in the diagnosis and evaluation of treatment. Material and Methods. Patient X, female, aged 8 years. It is transferred through the air service after 48 hours postoperatively, after the second surgery on the abdomen, with accusations of diffuse abdominal pain, repeated vomiting with gastric contents, lack of intestinal transit and gas emission. Referral diagnosis: Intestinal occlusion. Interned in the Surgical RTI Section of CNȘP „ Results. In the present case, we report that patients undergoing surgery require a clinical-paraclinical evaluation and non-adherent treatment. Evaluated after 3 months postoperatively, the patient's condition is satisfactory. Anti-inflammatory, non-stick treatment follows. Conclusion. Adherent intestinal occlusion is a current problem, and the pathophysiological mechanism as well as the means of prevention and treatment require further studies.
