Introduction: The traditional forms of psychological assistance in medical institutions are limited due to the
shortage of qualified psychologists, thus greatly influencing the effectiveness of rehabilitation. The
psychological service takes into account: organization of psychoeducational programs, development of the
mentained person-environment resources, learning the self-managing behaviour for the adjustment to the
disease. We set out an experimental research of the psychological state of individuals during the post-stroke
rehabilitation, which takes them, as well as their families, through physical and emotional pain, carried out
during 2017-2019, in the neurology wards of the Emergency Medicine Institute, Chișinău.
