Background. Natural light synchronizes the "biological clock" of the human body. It cannot be used all over the daytime period, being replaced by the artificial illumination. Artificial light drastically influences sleep, knowledge, mood and circadian rhythms Objective of the study. It is performed a review on the recent literature results with a series of practical recommendations on the influence of monochromatic artificial light that acts on the human body rhythm and produces significant changes. Material and Methods. Calibration and quantification method of photic stimulation. Lighting design recommendation standard DIN SPEC 67600. Demographic and baseline pain data. Statistical data processing methods. Results. In addition to visual effects, light produces a lot of biological effects that can influence health. As a result, an analysis of the recent publication concerning the influence of artificial lighting on the physiological processes is done. A series of recommendations have been established on the use of correct light sources, which allows a correct lighting by categories of activities and daylight hours in order to improve the productivity and daily activity. The light wavelengths intensities that produce significant changes were established. As was observed, light can reduce depression and increase cognitive performance Conclusion. Light significantly influences the circadian rhythm, and for high performances, it is necessary to respect the standard light source norms. The monochromatic light therapy prevents the development of severe diseases. We feel good, we are productive and we can sleep better. |
