Rezumat

This text presents the pedagogical view of a development vision for regions with socioeconomic indicators lower than hegemonic standards. This view considers the importance in building cooperation networks based on knowledge, the participation of different people, and highlights the role of the school in the formation of people committed to solving issues of the environment in which they live. It refers to a developing experience in a small area of the State of São Paulo/Brazil, consisting in the capacitation of teachers and students for the use of online secondary sources to identify official local and regional data, contextualizing them to the global contemporary dynamics.
