This article presents arguments regarding the topicality and the preoccupations of the academic community with reference to the establishment of Scientific Schools (research centers) in higher education institutions intended to capitalize on the research activity, an emerging global and national trend. Renowned academic researchers evince the formative value of these schools in ensuring the progress of science and the training of highly qualified scientific staff. At university level, the evaluation criteria of the Scientific Schools efficiency, described in this article, and the conclusions regarding the factors that stimulate the quality of the Scientific Schools activity represent perspectives for achieving academic excellence through research and innovation. |
