The geodemographic situation in the Republic of Moldova in general, and in R.D. The North, in particular, had a strong involution throughout the period of state independence. The main causes were both objective (socio-economic transition, accentuated external migration, lack of development opportunities in the interior, etc.) and subjective (uncertainty and fear of poverty, taking over patterns of reproductive behavior denatalism, etc..) both determining the negative trend in the dynamic evolution of the population. Beyond the explanations of the authorities, the measures taken by them to rectify the situation, an attempt was made to obtain answers to the multiple questions regarding the geodemographic problem deduced by the population from several localities in R.D. North subjected to a sociological survey with reference to their assessment of the situation in these localities.
