Rezumat

Some poultry farmers more and more often encounter unpleasant situations in the process of incubating poultry eggs and even after the hatching of chickens. Adult hens producing eggs infected with various bacterial microflora, unsuitable environmental factors, hygiene conditions in incubators, etc. represents a major risk of contamination of both eggs predestined for incubation and newly hatched chicks. Respectively, there is a need to regularly investigate, in laboratory conditions, the presence or absence of bacterial microflora, especially pathogenic microflora. Based on the above, the aim of our research was to isolate microorganisms of bacterial origin from samples collected from some incubators, from non-hatched eggs, and from dead chicks in the first days after hatching. After laboratory research, the following results were found, out of the 80 samples examined (20 samples from incubators, 32 non-hatched eggs and 28 chicken carcasses) 50 samples were contaminated with various types of bacteria: Salmonella, Pasteurella, E. coli, Streptococcus, Staphylococcus, yeasts, fungi. In conclusion, we can say that bacteriological investigations of samples collected from incubators, non-hatched eggs, chicken's dead bodies, allowed us to isolate microorganisms of bacterial origin, which have a negative action both in the embryos and after hatching, resulting big economic losses.
