Rezumat

In his lyrics of the last decades, Arcadie Suceveanu, through the ironic, the sarcastic and the grotesque, dwells upon the Apocalypse myth which in literary symbolistics connotes with the idea of the end of the world, caused by the violence of natural and human origin, and that of the return to the original chaos. In his view, this eschatologic phenomenon of global proportion is inherent to mankind, following its trace from the origins till nowadays. In most of his poems from the volumes The Archives of Golgotha (1990) and Eternal Denmark (1995) the author explores with success this image throwing light upon its significance by means of a genuine artistic language.
