Paul Goma’s creation imposes an unmistakable mark and narrative style. Overflowing sincerity that is characteristic of him, defines his relation with linguistic laws. A relation in which language is compelled to reform itself and become flexible in order to allow Goma express himself at the highest levels of his feelings. A sincerity that is so rich in tones and colours cannot be restricted by conventional codes, pre-established by others and therefore his discourse exits the linguistic schemes and paradigms in order to be set free in an unrestricted uttering, in a total uttering. Tropes and figures of style flood Goma’s writings, but they are used in deeply individualized forms.
