Suspicious, unforgiving, in disagreement with the rest of the world, the witness Goma, struggles with cowardliness and passivity of those around him, with their biographies which were „decorated” after they had served the regime. He doesn’t stand the avalanche of poetisms, he doesn’t like Aesop’s language, but speaks his mind. When he sent his manuscripts abroad and, unwillingly, transformed the published books (in non-Romanian) into veritable „literary misdemeanours” and condemned – from the inside – the regime, Goma represents a symbol. Goma’s presence is uncomfortable, Goma complex is burdensome.
