The article registers Paul Goma’s spiritual return to his native place, announced by his 75th anniversary and celebrated via scientific, cultural and biographical-sentimental events, newly published books, new studies, collections of articles and interviews. The writer is considered a knight of Truth, a writer of consciousness, a free citizen of the Romanian language, a Romanian writer who is placed next to the Russian writer Alexander Solzhenitsyn, a writer who escaped from the authorities’ web. The latter made art both of his freedom and his lack of freedom. Paul Goma is considered a symbol of the Romanian struggle for Truth, freedom and human rights. The writer is a damned angel. The second part of the text is an official letter addressed to the celebrated.
