The paper was written on the basis of archival materials and reflects the dynamics
of the relations between the Republic of Moldova and the most influential
Middle Eastern states in the last decade of the XXI century: the State of Israel, the
Republic of Turkey, the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the
State of Qatar, the State of Kuwait and the United Arab Emirates. The author used
some general and particular scientific methods, among the key methods being the
situational analysis, the causal analysis, the structural-functional approach, the
principle of bilateralism etc.
The article contains the analysis of the geopolitical dynamics in the region and
the role of intrasystemic actors in the balance of forces’orchestration in the area,
destabilizations being generated by the struggles for power and influence in the
context to gain a leading country status in the Middle East. The author has elucidated
the real state of the relations of the Republic of Moldova with the major
intrasystemic Middle Eastern players and their development’s perspective, starting
from certain affinities and continuing with the cultural-religious differences, met
in the relations of the Republic of Moldova with its partners from the Middle East.
The researcher has expressed the conviction that the evolution of the relations
between the Republic of Moldova and the major intrasystemic actors on the Middle
Eastern political scene are profoundly influenced by the interactions with the Israel
on the one hand, and those with the Arab and non-Arab states separately, on the
other hand. Unfortunately, the delay of some real opportunities to realize the states’
interests temporize the consolidation of the bilateral and multilateral relations
with Israel and the influential states in the Muslim geopolitical area.
