This article addresses a very current issue - active listening. In the interpersonal communication, active listening is an effort of the individual to hear, analyze and understand what the other person communicates. This is an absolute must for all categories of professions that involve interacting with people, especially for educators. In this context, active listening is very useful in educational negotiation and mutual support, and it‟s considered an important competence for the functioning of non-conflictual interpersonal relationships.
