The subject of crimes of torture, inhuman or degrading treatment, rightly represents the basic element, which delimits the composition of the crime with the same name from the rest of the similar criminal acts. Any change in the normative framework in this regard is an important one not only for the recipients of the criminal law but also for the state agents in whose attributions the law enforcement falls. We decided to make a retrospective analysis of normative developments on this subject, for these reasons, highlighting the positive aspects, but also the inaccuracies found. |
