| Rezumat | ||||||
The decline of the Moldovan army forced the Ottomans to use the military potential of Moldova to strengthen the Turkish defense system from the NorthernBlack Sea and Danube coastline. It is documented that Moldova regularly provided workers for the construction of new Turkish fortresses or for repairing of old ones, but also supplied carts with building materials and food. Thus, from that time until the end of the Ottoman domination, the region between the Danube, Dniester, Bug, Dnieper, the seashore of the Black Sea and the Crimean peninsula became a territory with a significant Moldovan cultural and human presence. |
