Rezumat

Apricot fruits have good perspectives not only for fresh consumption but also regarding improving fruit for specific processing products (juice, dry fruit, canning). Creation, introduction and selection of the new apricot varieties and hybrids with manifestation of valuable biological and agronomical traits in the conditions of Republic of Moldova there are the aim of researches. That enrich and diversified registered in R. Moldova assortment and ensured the continuity of the breeding program for Prunus armeniaca L., especially for: a) high and stable production and vigor diminution; b) resistance to disease (especially to Monilia, Sharka) and to unfavorable microclimatic conditions; c) autofertility and good interpollenisation; d) fruit qualities (size >50gr. in the absence of irrigation, attractive appearance; firmness and good texture of the flesh, high ratio of flesh to pit); e) high content of chemical components promoting a special organoleptical values (good test, aromas, aptitudes for processing); f) early and late period of fruits maturation. Actually apricot national collection holds more than 500 local and introduced varieties and 3078 hybrids and elites, obtained from different type of hybridization, including diallellic ones. During the last 5 years were created 22 elites; (including 7 from in vitro embryo culture). The following chemical parameters were examined: total sugar (reducing sugars separately), vitamin C, soluble dry material, organic acids, phenolic and colorant content. The most important genotypes were transmitted at the Moldovan Commission of State varieties Testation. Based on cumulative characteristics of quality and production, evaluated high level of adaptabilitity and large ecological plasticity to variable pedo- microclimatic conditions of local resources, varieties Codrean and Vasile Cociu are registered for industrial culture. Elites N1, 1B26, 1B47 there are tested in production and proposed for future breeding programs. In the last time in different pomological zones of our country there are introduced for temporary testation new innovative varieties like Tsunamy, Big Red, Kyoto, Lady cot, Faralia, Farbaly, Pricia, Farlis, Alice Col, Anegat, Digat, Gilgat, Iziagat, Jengat with different period of fruit maturation, etc.
