The Light Industry is one of the most developed and important industrial domain in Republic of Moldova. The industry is represented by three sectors: manufacture of textiles; manufacture of wearing apparel, dressing and dyeing of furs; manufacture of leather, leather products and manufacture of footwear. Light Industry is listed as one of the priority branches of the national economy in the Moldovan Industry Development Strategy, developed to the year 2015.The key task of this strategy is the gradual transition of offering contract services to foreign partners to the manufacturing of high quality production under Moldovan own companies’ trademarks, and the corresponding development of new export contacts and distribution. This article researches the economic and financial situations of light industry, analyzing its importance for industrial sector and its financial stability. |
