The influence of geographical position for the development of cities in the Republic of Moldova is analyzed in this study. The importance of which is revealed through multiple links of the city with the surrounding area. Cities tend to consolidate their positions over adjacent territory through relations with rural areas. In this regard there was a need to address city relations, both to its own territory and the environment, determined by historical and socio-economic links. We consider first of all to start from a basic definition on the notion of geographical position content which could facilitate a broader research concerning the relationships of the city with the environment. |
