<description xml:lang='en' descriptionType='Abstract'><p>Digital mapping of soils (CDS) is a new direction in pedology which uses modern technologies in spatial analysis possibilities quantitative and qualitative of the structure of the soil cover. Existing methods allow the analysis of separate parameters and possibilities CDS are much wider and can be used on a wide range of issues pedogeographic, agroecological, genesis, etc. This allows the current wording of the CDS problem, such as developing quantitative algorithms to various problems, mapping and spatial analysis of the soil cover. Using the digital method is characterized in the article the structure of the soil cover of the Republic of Moldova at level of taxonomical type.</p></description>
