In order to educate preschoolers for effective communication and to improve the quality of the teaching process in the pre-primary stage, we consider that a fundamental problem is that of developing the vocabulary of kindergarten children through different methods but especially through creative play. Language is a complex system of communication that results from social practice and reflects the processuality and laws of history. In its structure, language has symbols and signs, a large number of words that make up its vocabulary, a grammar with laws of syntax and morphology and rules for the elaboration of comprehensible statements. Language is an element of culture and of all the rules, customs and beliefs of a nation. Language is a psychic process that uses language to accomplish functions such as communication, knowledge, or adjustment. It is therefore a language communication activity. Speaking is an act of concrete and individual use of language in communication through language. In our opinion, it is important for the teacher to follow the two forms of language produced by children, the expressive language (which the child produces) and the impressive language (which the child understands). These forms of language emphasize the active vocabulary and the passive vocabulary of the child. Creative play through its forms: fairy-tale-based play and day-to-day games can help the child to associate language with the status and social roles of the community he lives in. Preschoolers can imitate or even create some language communication models like how to address when we offer, when we ask something to somebody or our boss, classmates. By communicating during the creative game, the vocabulary is enhanced and enriched with words that can form the central message, but also the intentions of the child, his attitudes, goals and feelings. Theodor Hristea mentions that the importance of the vocabulary is correlated with the importance of the language itself: the importance of a language is given by the richness and variety of its vocabulary. (2, page 7) We believe that creative play can primarily develop the child's basic vocabulary by helping the children to learn the common, basic words of the Romanian language. Some of them are: • nouns that describe colors, landscapes, relatives, words expressing time, nature phenomena, basic foods, tools, crafts, plants, animals, birds, astral elements, etc.; • personal pronoun: I, you, he, he, we, you, them, etc.; • cardinal numbers, especially from 1 to 10; • adjectives and adverbs most commonly used in the usual communication. The vocabulary enrichment as well as its activation can be achieved through creative games. In order to get involved in the communication thread that takes place during the development of the game, I chose to play the game inside and I was involved in a character of the game. In this way we have made children use the right words and expressions but also some expressive words and expressions in their speech. The action of the game has gained dynamism and color. Developing language at pre-school age is an important objective of this learning curve. Speaking of children is characterized by the increased frequency of use of concrete terms, linked to the reality that surrounds him in everyday life. Through the game the teacher can support the development of children's language in all aspects: phonetic, vocabulary and morphological. Communication is an essential factor in educating pre-school children in shaping their personality. There can be no good mental and physical development in the absence of communication. Nowadays the great importance of playing for childhood is an incontestable truth. We have tried to present the role of the game in the development of the vocabulary, the capacities and skills of the child to express his / her own ideas and thoughts, to place his / her place in the activity that the preschooler performs in the kindergarten. In conclusion, we must also take into consideration the fact that in daily life the communication serves us in the most varied situations and this is increasingly necessary for the ability to express clearly and effectively in achieving the proposed objectives. For this reason, the need to form communication skills even in pre-school children. I support the idea that in the pre-school educational process it is necessary to change the position towards the child. He must be considered as an active and creative participant in his own training. Intellectual effort on the part of the child must be cultivated early because it has formative valences and leads to the development of superior intellectual capabilities. |
