Constructivism is a theory of knowledge, but also of learning that provides educational practice with important methodological support. This approach to learning allows for the overall and optimal development of each child, but also involves a series of transformations of the educational environment and the way of organizing learning. Constructivist learning strategies make use of not only planned learning situations, but also spontaneous ones such as: curriculum of choice, cooperative learning or learning through discovery; for this reason, being a constructivist teacher is an act of courage. It is an act of courage, because it requires a definitive separation in the traditional way of organizing learning. |
