In the article are explored issues of ethics and moral philosophy in the
Romanian translation of “Evanghelia de învățătură” ,conducted by Met-
ropolitan of Moldova Varlaam in the first half of the 17th century . It is
shown that the design of the ethics of Varlaam is a summary of ethical-
religious thinking and the Byzantine.
