15 years have past from the declaration of independence of the Republic of Moldova – a short space of time but full of events and signi cant processes, important both from the historical and political point of view. The essence of those social processes is conditioned by the new paradigm of social development: the transition constituting a complex and nonlinear action that develops simultaneously in multiple dimensions and in different stages. A special product of the social transformations of the last 15 years that is especially relevant for the anterior, present, and also for the future transition policy in Moldova, represents the appearance and development in the autochthonous investigative  eld of the political science that from the beginning had a mission to carry out the qualitative scienti c examination of the new political phenomenon and to offer solutions directed to the democratization and modernization of the state and society.
