In the article «On the history of the Gagauz writing’s creation»are analyzed the causes why in the literature are presented different years (1946, 1947, 1948 and 1950) of the appearance of the problem of the Gagauz language’s graphics and grammar. There are presented different authors of the idea itself and of different state institutions from USSR and MSSR that were engaged with the realization of this idea, as well different authors of the Gagauz alphabet’ project on the basis of Russian alphabet with the inclusion of four specific letters for the rendering of the Gagauz pronunciation’s peculiarities. On the basis of new sources (the diary note in the book of S. B. Bernstein, the publication by S. S. Bulgar of the protocol nr. 3 of the meeting of the commission about the Gagauz problem from 27 January 1948, the adding into the scientific circulation of the proper archive document of the respective protocol) are given the answers on the problem proposed in the article’s title. The idea of Gagauz writing’s creation belongs to the historian from Chisinau I. I. Mesheriuk (August 1946). The commission for the creation of the Gagauz language’s alphabet and grammar was created by the presidium of the Academy of Sciences of USSR ahead with a honored Soviet Turkologist K. Dmitriev (October 1946). The authors of the final variant of the Gagauz alphabet were the Gagauz poet N. P. Arabadzhi and N. K. Dmitriev (January 1948).
