Rezumat

During the interpersonal communication, the interlocutor‟s calling is not always realized through the official name (the one which was conferred by the originally act of baptism), but often it‟s resorting to an extremely rich and varied arsenal of nominal substitutes serving as informal / non-conventional anthroponyms. One category is formed by the names realized at the individual level of the language which suppose the transformation of some official anthroponyms, already attested in the Romanian onomastic system, in pseudo - proper names, which we call conventionally generic anthroponyms. These nominal products rated more or less depreciatory, become characterizing labels, specific for more people. The ideal candidates for the position of generic anthroponyms were and are the first names most common in popular environment: Gheorghe, Mitică, Ion, Vasile etc. The relevance of this surnames is supported by several factors, seemed destined to the symbolization and allegories of names: the oldness of name, the frequency of use, the general spread of equivalents, the social environment which includes the name, the mentality of epoch which it belongs, the analogy with the value of generic names in other European languages etc. In terms of socio-cultural, the generic anthroponyms have semantic associative, descriptive, of differentiation, of individualization, evocative values. A similar mechanism is often used to produce the nicknames. Or, as in the case of the nickname, the surprise is equally great, because the assigning of the name has a motivation, is the result of a process of naming subsequently the official act and referring to a special component of the called humans‟ life, parallel to the daily life. The creation of such names succeeds to surprise by its variety, by its originality and, especially, by the gratuity of the process. With this marginal, but quite stable and productive proceeding, the ingenuity of the oral and unconventional variants of the language demonstrates once again, the ludic and aesthetic trends.
