The paper posits and problematizes the assumption of a metapoietic modality of literature from the perspective of analytical and phenomenological aesthetics. The line of arguments sustaining this conceptual premise are placed within the frames of contemporary discourses on crisis of literature, humanities and of modern humanism in general. The argumentation of this idea will generate a theoretical review of the notion of function in literary theory by updating and reinterpreting the phenomenological experience of the meaning and value of fictional text in receptive consciousness. |
