Rezumat

Nanomembranes are thin, flexible and can be made out of virtually any material and material combination. They are transferable to any substrate and can be shaped into almost arbitrary geometries such as folds, tubes, rods… Nanomembranes constitute an exciting platform for interdisciplinary research. This talk will review our recent progress in nanomembrane technologies and highlights selected aspects in photonics, transport, nanofluidics, thermoelectrics, nanorobotics and ultra-compact on-chip energy storage.
