Background. Periodontal disease affects public health, because patients turn to the specialist when conventional treatment is insufficient. So the application of the new regenerative method based on the use of autologous platelet has become necessary to accelerate the healing of damaged tissues. Objective of the study. Studying the clinical aspects of periodontal disease and evaluating the results obtained after treatment by injecting platelet rich plasma as a regenerative remedy. Material and Methods. The basic therapeutic principle of PRP is to take venous blood from the patient using the vacutainer device adapted to the test tube which containing heparin sodium, then it will be centrifuged at 2900 rpm for 5 min, and obtained plasma is absorbed into the syringe and will be injected to the patient at the level of the mucosal transition envelope in the proportion of 0.1-0.2 ml per 3 mm. Results. By the following treatment with injectable autoplasma by patients diagnosed with chronic marginal periodontitis, mild and moderate form, PMA indices were assessed which were below 30% in 70% cases, and the CPITN index was assessed with zero, indicating the missing lack of pathological signs in periodontitis, but for patients diagnosed with chronic marginal periodontitis, severe form, the PMA index in 30% cases represents values between 31-60% and the CPITN index was assessed with 3 which highlighted the presence of periodontal bags smaller than 4-5mm. Conclusion. Regenerative therapy based on platelet injection has been shown to be highly effective in accelerating the healing of periodontal tissue in the mild and medium phase of the disease, but in the severe form of disease has occurred improving the condition, but not definitive healing. |
