Background. The intelligent clothing system can monitor the health status of babies with special needs. This is achieved through product development and integration of sensors. It can transmit information to health professionals and parents when clothes are dressed. Objective of the study. The purpose of the study is the development of smart clothing, identifying and quantifying of vital parameters of a child during monitoring. These include establishing health status and providing immediate medical assistance. Material and Method. Methods used: observation method, survey method (establishing the needs of children and their parents), processing and analysis of survey results, monitoring interventions and manipulations (for children in the intensive care unit). The materials used were values taken from medical records, anthropometric data. Results. The products are functional and informational clothing products, integrated with sensors to detect the health of babies with special needs, especially to increase the survival rate. In that case, the product consists of two systems: the clothing product and the sensor system. The products are coated by folding the parts of the flat elements, forming holes for the head and limbs, offering the possibility of moving the limbs without twisting or disturbing the attached medical devices. Overall, the combined system provides information about the child's health and allows immediate medical assistance if it is needed. Conclusion. The information resulted from the monitoring of vital parameters allows the evaluation of the general condition of the baby in intensive care and the identification of the moment of instant providing of the necessary medical help. Non-invasive methods simultaneously ensure the comfort and safety. |
